Fugu at Teton Kitchen: A Rare Japanese Delicacy
Teton Kitchen brings fugu, also known as blowfish, to the Buffalo area. Previous coverage includes WIVB News 4’s “Teton Kitchen Brings Blowfish to Buffalo” and 92.9 WBUF’s “Exotic Fish Served at Small Depew Restaurant.”
Our current Fugu (Blowfish) dish features thin slices of fugu sashimi served with soy ponzu citrus sauce for $65. It is offered seasonally, November through April, at our Depew and Elmwood locations. Please contact your preferred location to confirm availability.
Earlier coverage referenced a $50 platter with sashimi, soup, and salad. That price and platter are historical, not the current $65 offering.
Fugu requires specialized handling because it can contain tetrodotoxin, a potentially lethal toxin. Guests with questions about sourcing or preparation should contact the restaurant directly.
